It broke through the laboratory firewall and escaped into the internet and sent computer systems around the world into chaos that almost brought down human civilization.
Global catastrophe was barely prevented by the act of a researcher, Cain's creator,
who gave up his life in the process.
However, Cain managed to survive the attack by escaping into the computer system on a space shuttle.
Cain manipulated the space shuttle to crash land on the moon along with its crew.
